The Business of Show Business: April Burletiquette
THE BUSINESS OF SHOW BUSINESS
The Business of Show Business is a monthly class series produced by Pearl Buttons in collaboration with The Bimbo Factory, designed to empower burlesque performers with the knowledge they need to thrive—onstage and off. From backstage etiquette to budgeting, costume care, and marketing, each session offers real-world advice from experienced performers and producers.
Whether you're brand new or deep in the glitter trenches, this series will help you level up your craft with confidence and community.
Join us for April’s session “Burlettiquette” – a candid conversation about the do’s, don’ts, and don’t-even-think-abouts of navigating burlesque and nightlife professionally.
Moderated by Belle Gunz and featuring a powerhouse panel of performers—Stabitha Christie!, Zon Legacy Phoenix, Jane Doe, and Pearl Buttons —this class will cover:
✨ Venue & backstage etiquette
✨ Approaching producers (and red flags to watch out for)
✨ Rate-setting & communication tips
✨ Respecting your cast, crew, and community
✨ How to avoid drama and get asked back
Whether you’re brand new or just need a refresher, this session will leave you laughing, learning, and leveled up.
