Join Lopez La Lopez for an afternoon of feathered flair and seductive moves as we explore the artistry behind this timeless performance style. This workshop is for the performers and producers alike! We will dive into best practices for staging intimate moments, boundary & consent practices, and how to cultivate trauma-informed spaces. This workshop is all about empowering artists with the tools and language to self advocate, choreograph safely, and cultivate safer community spaces.

Instructor Bio:

JB/Jenna Benzinger is a Providence-based actor, director, choreographer, and educator. They hold a BA in Theater and Performance from Brown University. JB is a teaching artist at Trinity Rep, where they lead acting classes and residencies in community spaces such as the Providence Public Library and The Autism Project RI. A trained intimacy coordinator, JB centers their work on inclusivity, accessibility, and harm reduction practices.

Over the past two years, they have served as Intimacy Choreographer for the Connecticut College Theater Department in addition to collaborating with RI theaters. JB was trained through Theatrical Intimacy Education, Intimacy Coordinators of Color, and holds a Mental Health First Aid certification.
